此藏品度母佛,觀世音菩薩的化身。度母,梵名Tara,全稱圣救度佛母,我國古代稱多羅菩薩、 多羅觀音 ,共有二十一尊,皆為觀世音菩薩之化身。據佛教典籍記載度母都是觀世音菩薩的化身,協助觀世音菩薩解救眾生的各種苦難。許多典籍還說,修行者和佛教信徒修持度母即能夠斷除生死輪回之苦,消除一切魔障,消災增福,所以在藏傳佛教中度母受到廣泛的重視。
