此藏品度母佛，觀世音菩薩的化身。度母，梵名Tara，全稱圣救度佛母，我國古代稱多羅菩薩、 多羅觀音 ，共有二十一尊，皆為觀世音菩薩之化身。據佛教典籍記載度母都是觀世音菩薩的化身，協助觀世音菩薩解救眾生的各種苦難。許多典籍還說，修行者和佛教信徒修持度母即能夠斷除生死輪回之苦，消除一切魔障，消災增福，所以在藏傳佛教中度母受到廣泛的重視。
